She is cheerful and has a cute personality; her choice in her cards reflects this. Her favorite brand of cards is Angely Sugar.  Ichigo was a middle school freshman. After seeing Mizuki's performance, she get's inspired and joins Starlight Academy, which is the beginning of her idol career. She's a complete novice, yet she is optimistic and works hard to become the top idol. She does not have much knowledge of the entertainment world, so she always has her best friend, Aoi Kiriya teach her.  Ichigo is a cheerful girl and is always willing to help others. She often spaces out, but is friendly and caring like her mother, Ringo. However, she often pushes herself to her limits and is a bit naive. Her personality is known to most as one of the moe types. She wishes to become a top idol together with her best friend Aoi Kiriya. Many parts of the series focuses on Ichigo learning lessons, her optimism and hardworking personality being the two qualities she relies on. She is noted on many occasions to be the main heroine of the show but often does not realize this herself.  As of Episode 37, Ichigo and Aoi were put into the idol unit "Soleil" (Soleil means sun in French). Ran quits Tristar and joins them later in the same episode.  She leaves for America after the 1st season.  In Episode 91, Ichigo is announced to be in Aikatsu8, the unit of the top 8 idols.  In Episode 93, Ichigo and Seira form a unit called 2wingS. Ichigo Hoshimiya

Age: 13-14 (Season 1), 15-16 (Season 2), 16-17 (Season 3) Blood type: A Birthday: January 31 Sign: Aquarius Favorite food: sandwiches  Aoi is a student at Starlight Academy and Ichigo 's best friend. Aoi's been Ichigo's best friend since they were young. She's calm, bright, and good at analyzing.  She's well informed on the entertainment industry,especially on idols at the starlight academy, so Ichigo calls her “Idol Professor”. She joined Starlight Academy together with Ichigo.  She got best out of around 1000 people in the Idol test for the Starlight Acadamy exam and in the end of episode 2 became Mizuki Kanzaki 's temporary manager. This is because she had been studying idols for as long as she could and made time for that by doing her homework early. During the entrance exam to Starlight Academy, Aoi answered all the questions relating to idols correctly. After entering the school, she is shown to complete all her training perfectly without a sweat. She's also a lot more mature than Ichigo and sometimes puts her onto the right track. She also observes other idols before a performance to find out their weaknesses. Aoi is afraid to know that she won't be with Ichigo for long in Starlight Academy. Her favorite brand is Futuring Girl and her stage colour is blue.  As of Episode 37, Ichigo and Aoi were put into Soleil (''Sun'') unit. Ran quits Tristar and joins them later in the same episode. Aoi Kiriya

Juri is a passionate half-Spanish idol and actress. Her favorite brand is Sangria Rosa. When she was younger, Juri admired her mother's job as an actress, and started her career as a child. Her popularity boosted up because she was "Karen Kurebayashi's daughter." She went on a hiatus for some years, because Juri wanted to be known as "Juri Kurebayashi, the actress," not "Karen Kurebayashi's daughter." To accomplish that, she spent her years of hiatus training. After she grew up, she came back as an idol and actress, and is currently in a TV-drama, "Aikatsu Teacher," finally accomplishing her goals.

Juri Kurebayashi

Age: 13 (Season 2), 13-14 (Season 3) Birthday: April 1  Zodiac sign: Aries Blood type: A Favorite food: watermelon, chocolate, donut, mandarin orange, and curry   Akari is a clumsy, somewhat nervous, yet cheerful girl. She highly admires Ichigo to the point of wanting to be an idol like her. She appears to cry and get frustrated easily, but is determined nonetheless. Akari is also quite resilient and is able to quickly recover from her mistakes.   In Episode 96, Akari has grown into someone who wants to shine with her own light. She has become a hard-working and an even more determined idol who no longer aspires to be like Ichigo. Akari Oozora

Age: 13-14 (Season 1), 15-16 (Season 2), 16-17 (Season 3) Birthday: August 3 Blood type: AB Favorite foods: vegetable stick, yogurt Disliked food: fried fish (She doesn't like removing the bones.) Special skills: walking, posing  Ran (aka ''The Beautiful Blade'') is a Starlight Academy student and one of Ichigo and Aoi's classmates. She's been working in entertainment since she was little, so she considers herself a professional and acts mature. She can be a bit of a lone wolf, but she's also very candid with a good, caring personality. Like many others, she believed Ichigo and Aoi could not rise as top idols together. Ran is Ichigo's classmate who is secretly keeping a close eye on Ichigo and Aoi, and knows they won't be together forever and will one day go against each other.  She had been a bit of a loner after her friend and former roommate, Mako, had to drop out of Starlight Academy probably because she might have lost confidence, but soon warms up to Ichigo and Aoi. She hides her feelings around other people since she's called the "Beautiful Blade" who never smiles. She steps with her left foot on the runway since Mako stepped with her left foot first. Her favorite brand is Spicy Ageha.  Unlike Ichigo and Aoi, Ran is a professional idol and has an aura like Mizuki. In fact, she has even been elected as Tristar's third member after Kaede Ichinose was elected as the second. Ran was elected in Episode 35 of the anime.  In Episode 37, Ran quits Tristar to be in Soleil, and Yurika takes her place. However, in Episode 39, both units are merged into STARâ˜†ANIS. Then in Episode 40, Powapowa-Puririn added and in Episode 41, Shion Kamiya stated that she won't join STARâ˜†ANIS, and in the same episode, STARâ˜†ANIS had it's public debut. (Source: Aikatsu! Ran Shibuki

Hinaki is an energetic girl with an informal manner about her that allows her to get along well with others. She's been in the entertainment business since childhood and thus has more knowledge and experience compared to most idols her age. Because of this, she'll sometimes feel insecure as nothing she says sounds fresh. She's a very fashionable girl and enjoys being so. She likes to coordinate clothes and feels that there are clothes that suit everyone.

Hinaki Shinjou

Age: 13 (Season 3) Blood type: O Birthday: February 14  Sign: Aquarius Favorite food: Chocolate  Madoka is a rookie idol known for her soft, cute smile who was accepted into Starlight School in April. She's a sweet, yet unexpectedly firm girl, whose shown to be a tease around her friends. Madoka actually has a lack of self-confidence in how she performs, like at the debut live for Skipsâ™ª or when she asks her grandmother for a premium rare dress. A notable trait of hers is that she is very honest, which is often noted by her friends.  Madoka has mid-length length bubblegum pink hair tied up into two wavy, twin pigtails.
