Miyu Edelfelt is a young girl who serves under Luvia as a magical girl. Her origin is unknown, except that she has a brother who looks similar to Shirou, and she takes on the Edelfelt name after being taken in by Luvia. She lives in Luvia's mansion and acts as her maid to earn her keep. She uses Ruby's sister Kaleidostick, Sapphire, in order to transform, and she initially has a much better understanding of her abilities than Illya. She takes her role very seriously and treats Illya as a bothersome rival, though they eventually become close friends.  She later gains the ability to use the Saber class card to embody the Heroic Spirit after seeing Illya perform it.  Miyu is the complete Holy Grail from the world in which the Class Cards originated. Her brother is that world's version of Shirou. Brought to the main world through unknown means, she was taken in by Luvia in her search to rival Ilya and Rin's partnership.  In 2wei, Miyu continues to fight as a Magical Girl, dealing with the mysterious 8th Class Card. After dealing with Illya's split personality, Kuro, Miyu and co. fight the Enforcer, Bazett. They defeated Bazett and cooperated with her to capture the 8th Card.  The 8th Card was revealed to come from another Holy Grail ritual, and it gains physical body, child Gilgamesh. Later it was revealed by Gilgamesh that she comes from a parallel world and she is a princess. After saved from black Gilgamesh by Illya, Miyu was captured by Angelica and Beatrice from another world.  In 3rei, Miyu was captured and held captive in Ainsworth's stronghold.  Later it was revealed her original name was Miyu Sayutsuki. She was a "Child of God", a child from an occult religion that worships children below 10 years old as gods, and this granted her wish-granting power, not unlike the Holy Grail. Kiritsugu and Shirou found her in an incident that brought her hometown into enormous black fire, and witnessed Miyu dispel the fire. Kiritsugu took her, wishing to utilized her wish-granting power to save the world.  Kiritsugu asked Shirou to use Miyu to grant his wish of world salvation, but Shirou couldn't do it because Miyu become more human each day. Kiritsugu died some years later, and Shirou continued to taking care of Miyu. At this time, Shirou and Miyu became really close. Miyu Edelfelt

Daughter of the distinguished lineage of magi of the Edelfelt, Luviagelita is their young and talented family head. A student in Clock Tower, the Mage's Association academy, she is one of the candidates for the position of student's president for the current academic term. As long as Rin is not nearby, Luvia's attitude is always graceful, never blaspheming and with a beauty similar to a swan. Of course, that is just a facade and she is actually very competitive and suffer with perfectionist tendencies. She has fair orangish-blonde hair.  A Finnish who is expert in the use of the Gandr shooting curse, she is also trained in the England-original Lancashire-style of martial combat (which is quite similar to pro-wrestling...) and received the nicknames of "Hunting Dog of the Ring" and the "Forklift Lady" for it. She also makes use of the same Jewel Magecraft as Rin. Usually wears a blue dress, the sleeves of said dress are optional attachments that can be easily and quickly removed in times of battle.  Although rich, Luvia does not tolerate wasteful spending. However, she knows that such spreading of money is meaningful because aristocrats are aristocrats. Understand that commoners do not have good views about the aristocrats, but loves them strongly because she understand them. She accepts that her fate is to marry a high-class gentleman of noble birth, but her personal tastes are more towards a simple man.  Has in Toosaka Rin a worthy rival due to their similarities, their encounters always result in fierce clashes. After a year together, a silent agreement was forged within the Department of Mineralogy of Clock Tower that "Toosaka and Edelfelt must not attend classes together." The facade that she built for herself was withering away after a decade of use and her bad temper was already starting to appear, but after Rin showed up her daily life improved.  On a certain occasion, Luvia tried to reserve the 28th room in the top floor of the Norwich Students Dormitory entirely for herself, but that became impossible when Rin also asked the same room. After a series of events that resulted in the recommendation letter that Rin got from a Lord being tore apart, a big fight broke out and a reception desk was destroyed in the process. Afterwards, both were forbidden from ever entering the dormitory again. So, because boarding houses are too small, she bought a European-style mansion for herself live in.  During the Zelretch box incident in Fate/hollow ataraxia, a telephone call connected to a Luvia of a parallel timeline three years in the future. A series of events that started with her delivering a important essay that she wrote led to she and Rin falling from the London Tower. They survived the incident thanks to the intervention of Shirou Emiya, and in the aftermath received the nickname of Mary of July (Luvia) and Poppins of July. Rin is reared as the successor to her family's magecraft, instructed by her father Tokiomi Toosaka to prioritize sorcery over her own interests.  Two centuries ago, the Toosaka House, in collaboration with the estates of Makiri and Einzbern, helped found the Fuyuki Holy Grail Wars. The land of Fuyuki City, which possessed the second greatest spiritual power in all Japan, was owned by Rin's ancestor, Nagato Toosaka; at the behest of the Einzberns, he provided his property as battleground for present and future wars. Nagato was a kirishitan, as well as a pupil of Zelretch; these titles gave him considerable influence in both the Mage's Association and the Church, allowing the Toosaka family to participate in the Holy Grail Wars, free from harassment by either organization.  Rin was brought up as the successor to her family's magecraft, and was instructed by her father to prioritize magecraft over her own interests. Ten years ago, Tokiomi Toosaka was selected as a Master in the 4th Holy Grail War, and Rin was entrusted to take care of the Toosaka estate until his return. Her mother, Aoi Toosaka, was left in a debilitated state from the war, so her care was left to her guardian, Kirei Kotomine. After her father was killed, Rin continued to improve her sorcery with some guidance from Kirei Kotomine. To divert attention from her private life, Rin has diligently strived to earn the admiration of her peers, even though she is secretly stingy, tomboyish, and a slacker.  The rights to the Toosaka lands were inherited by Aoi after Tokiomi's death, and subsequently inherited by Rin after Aoi's death. Kirei managed them as Rin's guardian, and because of his foolhardy and coarse management, the majority of profitable properties ended up in the hands of others. It is possible that he believed the wealth was bad for her upbringing due to following the principles of humility and poverty.  Although Rin resents the sacrifices she has endured for the sake of tradition, she is fiercely competitive and eager to prove herself as a skilled and capable magus. She was immensely disappointed at summoning Archer and ended up in a quarrel with him; however, the duo soon reconciled, set aside their differences and quickly got along.  For the sake of her deceased father and her family's name, Rin seeks to obtain the Holy Grail, though she has little personal desire for it. Unbeknownst to her sister Sakura, Rin feels guilty and believes that she has abandoned Sakura after she is adopted into the Matou household, so much the guilt was what driven her to revive Shirou, Sakura's target of affection, at the brink of death.  Rin seems to exhibit this in regards to Sakura. For someone who is usually very intelligent and observant, she is remarkably poor at noticing all of the things that have changed about her sister, including even her hair color. When she goes into the Matou house for the first time, she immediately realizes what being the Matou heir means, and yet despite knowing that Shinji has no potential as a magus, and that her sister was adopted into that family because her father couldn't train both of them, she fails to make the obvious logical jump to figuring out Rider's true Master or her sister's situation until it is explicitly pointed out to her. Of course, since working it out would have meant either hand-waving the fact that her sister is suffering horrific torture, or breaking from her duty as guardian of Fuyuki in an effort to save her, it's perhaps understandable that she decided not to think too hard about it. Rin Toosaka

Kuro, initially referred to as Dark Illya, is a being created from Illya's hidden power and the Archer Class Card.  She comes into existence after Illya uses the Class Card in order to save herself, and afterward, she falls unconscious and wakes up to find the card missing and an exact duplicate of herself, with the exception of dark skin and the Archer outfit, in its place. Kuro immediately escapes and makes various attempts on Illya's life, stating that they cannot both freely exist. She is eventually captured and has a seal placed upon her that forces her to share all sensations with Illya, including injuries and pain. Unable to freely fulfill her goal, she attends Illya's school as her cousin, Kuro, though she still holds resentment towards Illya. She is at odds with Miyu, who wishes to kill Kuro in order to protect Illya. The nature of her existence is eventually revealed to be Illya's sealed memories as a Holy Grail. When Kiritsugu and Irisviel stole Illya from the Einzbern family before she could be fully configured as a Grail, they also sealed her memories of these events to help her have a normal life. Unbeknownst to them, however, these sealed memories continued to exist, becoming a hidden second personality within Illya's mind. Eventually, this personality became powerful enough to harness the Archer class card and create a body for itself, becoming Kuro. Kuro is deeply bitter as a result, both towards her parents for sealing her, and toward Illya for wishing to be 'normal' (and thus indirectly wishing for Kuro, the manifestation of her past as part of a Magus clan) to not exist. She eventually comes to terms with her anger after Illya finally accepts her, only to begin breaking down shortly after. Although on the verge of death, Illya is able to convince her to fight for her new life, making her admit that what she wants most is not to be a Magus, nor to kill anyone, nor even to be accepted: most of all, she just wants the chance to live. This admission is enough for her powers as an incomplete Grail to activate, granting her wish to live and stabilizing her body. He is a serious yet helpful, hardworking, and honest teenager. His hobbies include fixing a variety of broken things, from VCRs to stoves, as well as cooking and cleaning. He has some slight talent with sorcery, though he was discouraged by his foster father Kiritsugu Emiya from improving his gifts. He is initially confused about the Holy Grail War and attempts to irrationally shield others from danger, including his own Servant, Saber.  Shirou is unskilled in most traditional forms of sorcery, and his only effective magic is Reinforcement, the power to analyze the structural composition of objects and increase their effectiveness by understanding their chemical and physical makeup, such as the sharpness and durability of a sword and shield. However, he lacks mastery for even this simple spell, and his various applications of it are limited.  While Shirou is struggling to learn Reinforcement, the first magic he learned is Projection, which is a much less effective magic compared to Reinforcement. However, Shirou's projection (referred as Tracing) is fundamentally different from normal projection. While initially it proves to be an useless skill due to the fact that Shirou can only produce hollow objects, the projected item can remain in the world for a long time. Later on, due to Shirou's Sword Affinity, he is able to copy the history and special properties of bladed items, even noble phantasms, though they are of slightly lesser quality (They are downgraded one rank from the original). At the culmination of his abilities is his Reality Marble, Unlimited Blade Works, which is the source of his unusual projection magic, Projection and Reinforcements are simply by-products of it. Unlike the normal projection which simply shapes an item out of prana, Shirou's projection summons the item from inside Unlimited Blade Works without expanding the reality marble. When expanded, Unlimited Blade Works manifests itself as a barren wasteland covered in swords, but with a beautiful dawn in the sky. In there exist all of the materials Shirou needs to recreate any bladed weapon, and Shirou is able to control all of the swords in Unlimited Blade Works using only his mind, using them to attack his opponent without having to physically touch them. Shirou Emiya

A mage sent from the Mage's Association to fight the 5th War of the Holy Grail, born in Ireland as a descendant of old mage family of an unusual bloodline. She is mentioned very briefly in Fate/stay night. The original Master of Lancer, she was betrayed by Kirei Kotomine and became the master of the Servant Avenger.  Bazett is a fairly serious, kind, and hardworking individual, who possesses a strong sense of justice. She can be short-tempered, yet still calculating. While she presents herself as a strong-willed and mature woman, in truth she is actually rather lonely. She is 23 years old.
