The Seto no Hanayome OVAs are new stand alone shorts with characters from the series and also two new ones. It is now the third year of school, San and Luna's dads are still being over protective. All the while Nagasumi has his hands full trying to keep everyone around him under control and rescuing damsels in distress.

Lunar is a childhood friend and rival of Sun. She has used the powers of her mermaid voice to become a pop star idol singer. She seems to suffer from a superiority complex, and she never passes up an attempt to overshadow Sun. She initially thought that Sun was boasting Nagasumi to her, and in an attempt to outdo Sun she decides to steal him away from her by making Nagasumi her servant, since Nagasumi has also seen her mermaid form. Lunar Edomae

Nagasumi Michishio

Sun is the daughter of mermaid Yakuza Seto Group's boss, Seto Gozaburo. She is a firm believer in the chivalrous spirit of mermaids, and is devoted to her role as Nagasumi's wife. Not yet being an adult, Sun is not able to completely maintain her human form, and her legs revert to a tail whenever she comes into contact with water. Sun Seto

He is only referred to as Luna's Papa, he is Luna's father and leader of the Edomae group. He is a tall, very well built man dressed in a shiny black jump suit. Edomae

Height: 165 cm Weight: 52 kg  She is a good friend of Mawari. While her true name is unknown, her classmates only refer her as Iinchou. Despite the fact that she is the class president, her presence is usually too passive to be noticeable. She also has a crush on Nagasumi.  She is actually a very beautiful girl once she takes off her glasses or changes them—even Nagasumi fell for her. (Source: Wikipedia)

Iinchou

"Spiral Shell" Maki is an assassin working for the Seto Group, as well a devoted friend of Sun. She, like GÅ�zaburÅ� Seto, dislikes the idea of "losing" Sun to Nagasumi, and will often distract Sun with sweet talk in order to fire her shell gun at Nagasumi. She also thinks that Nagasumi and Luna should be together.   (Source: Wikipedia)

Maki

A member of the Seto Group. Masa is the one who stole Nagasumi's first kiss (he was actually performing CPR, but anyone would use that as an excuse to say they got a kiss from a man as beautiful as him). Nagasumi and his mother are very attracted to Masa while father is very jealous of him. He also transfers to Nagasumi's school, becoming his math teacher. (whose word problems tend to describe to the mathematical aspects of underworld gang operations). There is a running gag of Nagasumi displaying an attraction towards Masa.   Masa is the only one apart from Sun's mother who doesn't object to the engagement and sometimes even gives advice to Nagasumi.  Before Masa lost his memory he was Shiranui Akeno's brother. Masa

Kai is the richest boy in Japan, the fourteen-year-old son of the head of the multi-million dollar Mikawa Corporation. He rivals Nagasumi for Sun's hand in marriage. He is a killer whale from another mermaid group. Strangely while Sun and Lunar are shown in Mermaid form (torso of a human and tail of a fish) whenever they fail to maintain their human forms, Mikawa is shown as an entire Killer Whale when he succumbs to the effect of water. He also has agoraphobia, which is why he travels only in submarines and wears an astronaut's suit in open spaces. While looking for a servant he befriends Saru. His name is related to Mikawa Bay and Neptune (æµ·çŽ‹æ˜Ÿ, kaiÅ�sei?).  (wikipedia)

Seto no Hanayome

Michishio Nagasumi's life couldn't be any more normal. In an odd twist of events, during his summer vacation he ends up almost drowning in the sea. Luckily, the cute mermaid Seto Sun appears to save him. However, Sun is from a yakuza mermaid family and according to their law, if a human is to catch sight of a mermaid, either he or the mermaid must die. The only other way is for Nagasumi to be taken in as a family member, marrying Sun. In attempts to save both of their lives, Nagasumi asks for Sun's hand in marriage. Nagasumi's summer vacation reaped more than what he would expect, as he must now protect Sun from others finding her secret out.

A young boy gets saved from drowning by a mermaid but, according to mermaid law, if a human sees a mermaid's true form, both have to be killed. The only solution to the problem is for him to marry her. But can they keep her secret from being found out?
