Age:15 years old (at the time of death) 75 years old (current age) Height: 168 cm Weight: 56.2 kg  A young girl who was left to die alone in the old school building of Seikyou Private Academy long ago. She has no recollection of how she died and is currently searching for clues together with Teiichi Niiya. As a ghost, she is normally invisible to the people in the school, with the exceptions of Teiichi and Kirie Kanoe, a blood relative who can also see her.   Apparently, she has grown fond of Teiichi and has expressed her desire to be by his side forever.   Okonogi is the only member of the club that can't see Yuuko and is not aware that she is the'absentee' president for the paranormal investigation club.  "Meanwhile, the surname "Kanoe" is derived from the 7th sign of the Chinese calendar, which originally meant "evening star" and also means "a person's age".  In the anime series, Yuuko is attributed to autumn leaves and the sky during sunset, which both share the same fiery hues. "

Yuuko Kanoe

Age: 14 Height: 156.5 cm Weight: 43.5 kg  In her first appearance, she warns Niiya about Yuuko.  Kirie is the only student character who can see Yuuko. She is a member of Yuuko’s family and looks exactly like Yuuko except for her short hair, ear piercings, and smaller breasts (much to her resentment). She later joins as one of the three members of the paranormal investigations club. The other members, Niiya and Momoe, seem to be her closest friends. Even after joining the club she remains apprehensive of Yuuko, but accepts Niiya's judgment.

Kirie Kanoe

Age: 12 Height: 153.2 cm Weight: 42.8 kg  Teiichi is a pupil in the school Yuuko died about 50 years ago, he once heard rumors about a spirit in the school who was left to die alone. Teiichi is able to see her and wants to help Yuuko to find out why she died.   In chapter 8, when Yuuko lost her memories about Teiichi, he confessed his feelings towards her and she remembered about him.

Teiichi Niiya

The most enthusiastic member of the Paranormal Investigations Club, Momoe is a year older than Niiya and begins to develop feelings for him after seeing his dedication to solving the Seven Mysteries. Like most people, she is not able to see Yuuko. Momoe also becomes close friends with Kirie by the time of the school festival. Officially, Momoe is a member of the school's Third Newspaper Club, but she is able to participate in the activities of both clubs due to the unofficial nature of the Paranormal Investigations Club.  She is also someone who easily believes in any urban legend she comes across.
